I’ve been making my own bath soaks for years, long before I ever made soap. About a month ago I decided to package my most recent bath soak recipe and sell them with my soaps. They sold like hotcakes! I couldn’t believe it.

This is my recipe. If you make and use it, please let me know how it turns out! I would love your comments.

  • 2 Tablespoons of Lavender Epsom Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon of Baking Soda
  • 1 Tablespoon of Milk Powder (whole is preferred but skim works too)
  • 1 Tablespoon of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon of of Lavender Buds
  • 1 Tablespoon of Rose Petals

This will fill an approximate 3.5 ounce jar (meansured in weight, not volume), I tap the jar on the counter to get the ingredients to settle a little as I fill them.

I fill each jar individually to make sure they all have the same amount. I make an assembly line and it goes pretty quick.

Each jar is enough for one bath only but the recipe could easily be scaled up for larger jars. I like having them small enough for one bath only because they make excellent gifts.

Everything should dissolve or wash down the drain, except for some of the rose petals. They can simply be wiped out of the tub with a paper towel when the bath is over.

Then I just put a label on them and they’re ready to go.
